Blondie’s Reward (1948)

The 23rd film in the Blondie series revolves around a case of mistaken identity. Dagwood and Blondie’s son Alexander is getting older, and has started playing football with the neighbor boy Alvin fuddle, and they are being coached by a college football star. Dagwood is supposed to drop off some architectural plans at the home of a rich client, but when he forgets them, the football player goes instead. He gets in a fight with the boyfriend of the client’s daughter and knocks him into the swimming pool. The client is actually delighted, as he hates the boyfriend, and wants to award Dagwood the contract. Meanwhile, the daughter develops a crush on the football player who she thinks is an architect, and so on and so on…
