Doll Face (1945)

I found this when browsing through the public domain movies at archive.org. Doll Face is movie that can’t really make up its mind about what genre it is. It is a musical one minute, a comedy the next, and then takes a stab at drama. It is not too much of a success in any of these fields, but there some amusing lines from Dennis O’Keefe as a theatrical promoter who has a difficult relationship with the English language, and Carmen Miranda is funny in her few scenes, although it is hard to catch what she is saying most of the time.
